Hey Renzo I emailed you a reply - and you never got back to me.
What things do you think we should spoof? Have any ideas?
Crimson- 01-29-2005
dammit, u mean u never got back the reply i sent? AAHHH, does anybody here that? its the sound of god laughing at me. I wrote a huge block of text. Thanks for nothing lame e-mail system!!! Anyways, I still have your reply so I'll write it over again.
Have you guys ever thought of doing anything of the fighting/martial arts genre?
Janna- 01-31-2005
We thought about doing a Kill Bill spoof once. I've never seen Kill Bill though :P I need to see more movies @_@
Crimson- 02-01-2005
Haha, yeah same here. Unfortunately we had no women to play in it so we just gave up, heh. so much for the effort.
You could always do something original/random.
Janna- 02-01-2005
Yeah, apparently there's some Japanese in that movie, too, which I'd be able to teach to peoples. I'll bring the idea up again next time we're going to make a movie.
Crimson- 02-01-2005
That's cool. Maybe you girls could do a spoof of like charlies angels or something. Maybe defend your chaotic town of Waseaca (I don't know if I spelled it right) from femme bots. Heh, I don't even know what i'm talking about anymore.
Chrissy- 02-03-2005
It's Waseca. Defend Waseca from what? It's this small, close-minded, farm/hick town in southern MN. Maybe from anything exciting or fun. or maybe the power rangers or something.
You guys are such guys. You just have a lot of fighting in your movies. It's ok its makes me laugh.
I did get your huge email you sent me a few days ago. It is pretty long. Ha, we can talk on this now.
Do you have MSN?
Janna- 02-03-2005
Yeah, Waseca doesn't deserve defending :P jay kay. I actually appreciate Waseca a lot more after having been away. It isn't all that bad. We came up with our newest movie idea tonight. You'll enjoy it :P
Crimson- 02-03-2005
Haha, alright, yeah. I live in Valencia, California. A small upper-middle/high class suburban town full of rich white kids. Yep and its really boring unless you have money and since im only 17, im not seeing any of that money right now; but im not rich anyways so whatever. The only reason we're on the map of california is because of Magic Mountain other than that the newscaster mispronounces our town's name because no one give a crap.
Yeah, we do a lot of fight scenes because they are just fun to do, and yes we are "such guys" because we are. We're slowly moving away from that genre of filming though now that we have a green screen and because I for one am getting tired of having to do the fighting. We have been trying so hard to think of something that involves more "acting" but it's hard to think of serious things cause our group is so f'd up in the heads. Any suggestions would be cool. We have thought of doing a recreation of one's dream after a night of hard liquor called, Wasted; which is basically all green screen. I think we also might spoof this new movie called Millions with that little british boy. Eh, whatever; we'll just see what comes down the road.
Anyways, 70 percent of all of our movies are inside-jokes and can't really be appreciated fully unless one was filled in. Such as the Espinosa Character in, "Chroncles of Juan."
Reply to Chrissy: Yeah I got msn; sn "Crimson", I should start using it since AIM sucks hard anyways.
Reply to Janna: That's cool, You guys didn't have to do any fighting, I was just trying to make conversation. But if you are, good luck cause those are tough to film.
Note: Ugh, why do I always write so much? Damn those AP essays.
Janna- 02-05-2005
The only times I recall seeing Waseca on the news here was when someone here was murdered and when a guy from here (and Chrissy's exboyfriend's dad) was running for governor.
I really like the fight scenes, actually :) I've kinda given up on trying to get our group to do fight scenes. I wanted to do a green screen thing a few weeks ago since our friend has one, but we never got around to it. Spoofing has come to a halt lately which sucks. We've had so many ideas and so many plans yet nothing happens :( I really hate it. Also my computer's not in the best of shape and I can't afford to fix it. I want a new hard drive but yeah... Okane ga nai (there's no money). I am also only 17 and I have some money since I just had my birthday, but I have to save it since next year I plan on going on the choir trip (tenatively New York), a trip to DC, a trip to Germany for German class, and also possibly back to Japan. All of this before I go to college. Eeeep.
There are a lot of inside jokes in our movies. Like with Sky's character in 60 Second Dates, she came up with being a peace corps worker in Palau because one of our teachers did that. There are a lot of dumb, little things like that thrown into our movies.
I want to try a fight scene sometime actually :) It'd be lots of fun to try something new. And don't worry about writing too much cuz I do too. My LJ is probably a 1,000 page novel by now :P

Heh, it seems like all of us amateur film makers are all in the same boat. I saw Ghettos of Waseca and noticed that both our towns are for the most part empty and boring. Damn...I wish we could somehow meet up and film something together, that would kick all kinds of ass. But then there is that whole thing about being a million miles apart, yeah that always sucks.
Anyways, that's pretty cool that you went to Japan. I saw the music video you made for it and thought it was pretty cool. I've always wanted to learn Japanese and Italian (I'm half). Guess I'll do that in college and then sign up for the student exhange progam like my older friend.
Yeah not having money obviously sucks. I need to save at least 400 bucks for this year's Anime Expo in Anahiem, California . Yeah, I admit it but I swear I only went because of peer pressure. I thought going there was going to suck until the first thing I heard the second I arrived at the scene was, "WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A TAROT CARD READING, NAAARRR!!!!" From then on, we (me and 8 of my friends) annoyed everyone at the expo and caused scenes. It was a great experience to get away from my parents and hang out with my friends; plus, it was the only time a guy gets to take pictures with a bunch of women dressed in cat girl outfits, schoolgirls outfits, etc. Heh, try fitting 8 guys in one hotel room...its hell but we managed. The fact that all we ate was Ramen made it even more uncomfortable.
Janna- 02-06-2005
Yeah, and you know what's funny? Both that gas station and that grocery store closed down shortly after filming that movie =P I was quite amused by that XD It would be really cool if we could film together sometime. Who knows? Maybe by some miracle we could meet up and make movie-age!
Thanks :) Yeah, it was an awesome experience. Japanese isn't easy, but it is a lot of fun. Japan's also not an easy place to go, but I really suggest if you want to learn the language that you go there and do a homestay. Although because of my trip to Japan, I could NEVER go to an anime convention =P The first one in Minnesota was last year the weekend that I left for Japan. This year I'm not going because I don't think I could stand being around all these people who think they know so much about Japan and Japanese culture yet they know NOTHING. Anime is for kids, contrary to popular belief, in Japan. It makes me laugh when I see teenage kids here collecting the same toys that my six year old host brother in Japan was playing with. Still, maybe I'll get to an anime con someday. I would go to whatever one it is (I think it's in Boston) where I heard TM Revolution played. *_* I'd like to see Psycho le cemu, too. Sadly none of the cool peoples would come to Minnesota so that'll never happen, and I spent so much on GLAY concerts while I was in Japan I couldn't afford to see anyone else while I was there =P
Crimson- 02-06-2005
Sounds like you have a really crazy schedule. Yeah some of the J-Rock is kinda interesting and I think I'm gonna go to one of the concerts there this year. However, the only reason I can tolerate the teenagers that attend the expo is because I can always make fun of them. Its this strange feeling I got when I attended also known as Godlike. Seriously, after seeing the anime crowd in action I felt like I could literally stop traffic with the wave of my hand. However, I really can't understand why people take anime and all that so seriously. My friends and I after a long night of dancing at one of the clubs at the expo found out that there was one last seminar going on and it was called the Yu-Gi-oh Dueling Arena. I never thought "duelers" could "duel" all day long. So we went to check it out and we sat in the back row yelling out and making jokes that made all the bored people in the seats laugh a bit. Then I bieng the really bored one decided to try to play one of the asian "masters" and since I don't know anything about Yu-Gi-Oh I made up my own rules and 5 mins later everyone was watching my table and then I was kicked out of the game for disturbing the process of duel.
Yeah, later that year me and another friend attended a locally cheap expo for the hell of it and decided to tape what it is like to be at an expo and to expirienece the anime crowd. We were pretty close to getting kicked out, but it was so damn fun and the best part was editing it, unfortunately it is like half an hour and way to big for our site with compression so its only available by hand and mail.
Anyways, I'll be sure to take note of your advice if I ever decide to travel abroad to Japan.
Janna- 02-06-2005
lol! That sounds like a lot of fun! Oh yeah, I'm curious, where are you guys hosting your site at? Do you actually pay for it? Anime Spoof is hosted for free (don't even ask me how I pulled that off!) and we have unlimited space, so I can put up movies that are quite large. I'm just curious.
That reminds me of back in the day... like 6th grade when Sky, Chrissy, and I attended Pokemon card game tournaments. We were quite good. Sky kicked the asses of some dorky teenage guys and she was like 12 years old XD Whee fun stuffs.
